Nespresso

What else… is the slogan many of you know from the commercial with George Clooney. The product he represents is Nespresso coffee from Nescafé. I have been representing this product for the last two months as well.

If you went to the Mediamarkt and the BCC you may have seen the Nespresso stands where demonstrators let you taste the special taste of Nespresso. Our task as demonstrators is to let people get to know Nespresso and offer them a cup. By asking several questions like: How strong do you drink your coffee at home? we can offer the right flavour.

What has become clear to me through the Nespresso training is that Nespresso uses a system that is absolutely different then any other way of making coffee. Many argue that the price (29 cents a cup) is too expensive, but Nespresso travels the world to get the premium quality coffee beans. You pay a little more, but the quality of the coffee is the best you can get.

Because of the unique system and the premium quality this is a concept I truly admire. More and more people are willing to pay a little more, to get excellent coffee. Therefore I was shocked to hear about certain demonstrators who see people buying a Senseo machine and pissing them of by comparing Senseo to toilet water. The concept of Nespresso is strong and does not need to do other brands down. The concept sells itself.

Most people keep their old coffee machine for visitors and parties and drink the Nespresso coffee on special moments. Here is a movie of a Nespresso drinker who wanted to show other people how he drinks his Nespresso. That a consumer is going through this much trouble to get people to try Nespresso says enough!
